Construction crews are finishing the installation of drilled micropile to support the concrete piers next to the Ogden Slip, and in April, they will begin reconstructing the seawall located on the north side of the Slip. The south abutment near the Chicago River and the pier footing south of the Ogden Slip were completed last month.

In addition, fabrication of the structural steel spine for the new bridge is underway with assembly of the first steel pipe pieces that will support the new bike path.

Intermittent off-peak closures of the right lane on Northbound Lower Lake Shore Drive may be required as materials and equipment are delivered to the site. All closures are being coordinated with Navy Pier to limit public impact.
