Construction work in April included continuing the installation of the steel bridge “spine” sections between Ogden Slip and Illinois Street for the portion of the Navy Pier Flyover that will ultimately provide access to Navy Pier. In addition, crews began the installation of sections at Jane Addams Park near Ohio Street Beach.

In May, work will continue with the installation of the bridge structure moving south from Jane Addams Park toward Ogden Slip. As work progresses, installation of additional elements of the steel portion of the structure will begin.
